FAQ
- How is this page different from the per-coin liquidation map?
- This page summarizes what HAS happened: how many dollars of positions were force-closed in 24 hours, on which exchange, which coin, at what hour. The per-coin liquidation map (/likuidasi/btc/ and others) shows at which prices stacks of positions WOULD be hit if price moves. Two different questions.
- Why are the numbers smaller than on other sites?
- Because we only count what we record ourselves from four exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate.io), not the whole market, and Binance only broadcasts one liquidation event per second per pair. The figures are conservative but verifiable; other sites combine more exchanges with methods that aren't always disclosed.
- What does a long liquidation mean?
- A bet on price rising that the exchange force-closed because margin ran out as price fell. A short liquidation is the reverse: a bet on price falling that was force-closed as price rose. Neither is a voluntary take-profit.
